On 01-01-2016, a written complaint was received at Jaluki Police Station, Peren District, that some unidentified miscreants attempted to murder an old lady by the name Mrs. Akiam, who later succumbed to her injuries and died on 02-01-2016. Accordingly, the District Police registered a case which was endorsed to UBI Wellington for investigation. During the course of investigation, within the same week, i.e., on 04-01-2016,Police were able to identify and arrest the miscreants who happened to be juveniles (One was 14 yrs. and the other was 13 yrs. of age). The motive established during the process of investigation was robbery. Following due procedures, both the juveniles were forwarded to the Juvenile Justice Board and further thorough investigation is in progress.
