Nagaland Police organized a grand felicitation programme for HSLC/HSSLC & equivalent exam topper of 2018 and 2019 for children of police personnel at PHQ Conference Hall, Kohima on June 21.
Gracing the occasion, T. John Longkumer, Director General of Police, Nagaland said that the concept of felicitating the HSLC/HSSLC toppers for children of police personnel was started in 2014 by DGP and senior officers to encourage and help the students financially.
He said that this programme is supported by the officers holding rank of gazetted and above where they contribute some amounts and gift the students.
Congratulating all the successful students, he said “this program is mainly to acknowledge the student’s hard work and discipline in their studies.”
Longkumer thanked the parents and teachers for sacrificing and guiding the students in the best ways.
Longkumer also encouraged the students to take this success as a stepping stone and to strive harder to go higher.
“Make success a habit and to be at the top,” he said.
Meanwhile, DGP congratulated SP Peren and his fellow policemen for winning the best police station award for 2018.
